What I have been doing is I manually select and upload photos and videos from my iPhone and other devices to these different libraries depending on whether they are for family or work.
I have a Macbook Pro and because I have a lot of family photos AND videos, as well as a lot of photos and videos for my work, I created two separate Mac Photos libraries on an external hard drive as my PRIMARY libraries (this was the suggestion of the Genius bar at an Apple store).
